"Popular" icons

This Show Makes Me Glad That I Was Never PopularCollapse )

  • Feel free to grab & use any of my icons. You are not obligated to comment if you do take one, but I would appreciate it :D And it would make my day to know that someone is using them!

  • I would prefer it if you didn't edit any of the icons. You can use them all you want, anywhere, but please don't change them.

  • Please don't claim the icons to be your own work. It's not, and you know it.

Enjoy :)

Introducing

"Orange crate art was a place to start"
First, I would like to thank you for visiting my art journal. Orange Crate Art is my miserable attempt at being artsy, and I will try my best to post all of my newest art. I think it will be a mix of drawings, sketches from my journal, icons, poetry, shortstories, lyrics and photography. And if I should try something entirely new, I will post it here too! :)

"Orange crate art was a world apart"
I know that my art can't compare to many of the gifted individuals both on LJ, but also just on the world wide web in general. Perhaps that's also why I'm terribly cautious of posting on art communities - because I'm afraid I won't be understood, and because I'm very vulnerable about my art. I have a lot of complexes from never feeling like I was good enough at anything, and therefore I don't think I'm ready to take that step yet. But never say never.

"Where theres aroma and heart"
I tend to see the beautiful in everything, and everyone. If I didn't, think about how much beauty I would miss out on? Everything and everyone deserves a chance, as do every artpiece. Because there is a thought behind it, and a message. A message that the creator might not be able to put across in words. It's a peek into someone's brain, a peek into someone's soul, and you are incredibly fortunate if you get to see it.

"Memories of her orange crate art"
I believe I wrote my first song when I was about five years old, a song about looking up at the stars and seeing them, both the small ones and the big ones. Whether the melody was slightly inspired from an Astrid Lindgren movie, ahem, I don't know, but I added my own words. I guess I could relate to them more. When it comes to other kinds of art, I have always drawn a lot. Ever since I was very little, I have loved to draw. My mother has a whole box of my old drawings, and I remember clearly the sensation I felt when I had finally learned to draw a princess! With a big dress, and a crown and everything. So I would say that I have always been interested in art, and it's possibilities.

With that said, you don't have to be a member to look at my art, it's open for everyone :) And thank you for reading & visiting!
